Tuesday: Deluge, Bad Winds in AM

Durango triple-dyed farm and ranch cowboy boots, Wrangler blue jeans, denim Carhartt shirt, neutral thermal Carhartt shirt, black briefs, usual Dickies socks.

• Should have worn the waders but did wear the yellow Carhartt raincoat
• Did wear, briefly, the Servus overboots
• Didn't buy anything at the mall, BestBuy, or Borders
• Had a very nice phone conversation with one of my LJ friends whose blog is one of the first I started reading and who is now on my phone's contact list

Those are beautiful boots. It's hard to find cowboy boots that are not too ornate, and these are just right for me.

These boots are hard to abuse:

"SPR leather is tanned by three separate processes for extra strength and resistance. It's been proven in test to be three times stronger, two and half times more abrasive resistant, and more acid and chemical resistant than conventional tanned leather. As a result, SPR leather resists caustic alkali, sulphuric acid, calcium hydroxide, potassium phosphate, caustic potash and barnyard acids."

I'm usually disappointed by boots "Made in China," but these are exceptionally comfortable and well-made.

This is a great description. Though I wonder, when was the last time I was exposued to caustic alkali, sulphuric acid, etc etc...?

I just bought a pair of cowboy boots, which happens very rarely. But these look understated and broken-in
