I love my pair of each of these. There is something about the harness on the tall boots that makes it look controlled or ... what's the word I'm looking for?

Perhaps the word I'm looking for is "commandeered". Rather than a pair of boots just picked up and worn freely, the harness makes them look intentional, like a pair that was commandeered for a purpose.

Separatley, I'm thinking of looking again for a pair of what used to be called 'Tank boots', boots with either one, long, wrapped strap or many side straps. I've only ever seen custom jobs that I liked, so it may not be fruitful.
