Growing up in the 50s and 60s, when movie and TV westerns defined masculinity with the role of the cowboy, I also have a thing for cowboy boots. For most of my life, I've had at least one pair (which I would wear every so often), but having a "collection" and wearing them regularly is something that I only took up in the last five years or so. It's probably a way of re-affirming my virility as I get older, but I just like the way they look and feel. ;-{D
